As described by Jo Malone London":

"This luscious Jo Malone London favourite is inspired by orchards awash with golden sunshine. The sensuous freshness of just-ripe pears wrapped in a bouquet of bright white freesias, their unmistakeable blooms radiating innocence and a delicate, cool touch. Mellowed by amber, patchouli and woods."

When you smell English Pear & Freesia, you’re instantly transported to an orchard where juicy fruit mingles with blooming flowers. There’s something unexpected about the combination of key ingredients and it’s got that freshness and elegance we’re known for.’ Celine Roux, Global Head of Fragrance"

My Thoughts on Jo Malone London limited-edition English Pear & Freesia cologne:

The notes:

Top — King William Pear

Heart — Freesia

Base — Patchouli

The Bottle: For this Spring, the cologne bottle is an elegant, fluted glass design, as distinct from the usual Jo Malone smooth bottles.

The Scent: This is a very simple and attractive fragrance. Not a complex one, there are just three notes to it. At first hit, you smell juicy pears, and then a touch of floral. As it warms down to base, the patchouli comes out stronger and becomes quite dominant. Only a light tough of the pear and freesia remain. This is a comfortable scent. It reminds me a little of Turkish rose water cotton candy - a very delicate touch of sweetness.

The Dry Down: This cologne hits dry down to the base note fairly quickly. I think it only took about 10 mins or less?

The Tastes: As noted above, it has a bit of both the texture and taste of lightly scented rose water cotton candy. It is not too sweet. The juicy pears that come through do make my mouth water! There is a powdery-ness about it that reminds me a bit of talcum powder. Again, very gentle and elegant flavours coming through.

The Colours: Yes, I do get the golden rays of sunshine and the pear greens.

The Feelings: I feel transported to a garden filled with beautiful flowers and a pear tree bearing luscious big fruit. There is a wash line nearby with clothes drying in the sun. That fresh linen scent mixed with the florals and fruity pears. I feel safe, comfortable and a little lazy. Light and warm breezes making it even more comfortable. I feel like I'm about to doze off for an afternoon nap in the garden. Preferably in a hammock.

The Wear Time: I would say about 3-4 hours. The patchouli and pear does linger a bit. I tried it on my husband, and he felt that the florals were what lingered best.

Suggested occasions to wear this: Oh, definitely a day time scent. This is a comfortable and simple fragrance that does suit the Spring time. Best worn during day time.

Overall: I adore how simple it is. A good fragrance doesn't have to be complex all the time. Just pick three notes and poof! You have a lovely every day fragrance like this one. One that suits all day time occasions.

You can see the lovely glass fluted design of this limited edition Spring cologne.

My Thoughts on Jo Malone London limited-edition English Pear & Freesia Body & Hand Wash.:

This Spring, we are blessed with an extra large bottle of Jo Malone London's famous body & hand wash.

This 500ml Body & Hand Wash has meadow foam seed. This bathroom essential gently cleanses skin,

leaving body and hands feeling conditioned and soft.

You get the same fragrance notes as the cologne. This body & hand wash feels very luxurious. Quite a treat to use it.
